1. Call the waiter - Em ơi!

In a Vietnamese restaurantif you encounter a younger waiter, a common way to call them over is by saying Em ơi! It's a friendly and direct approach!




  • Example:"Em ơi! Excuse me!"



 

2. Menu - Thực đơn

Asking for a menu before place an order



  • Example: "Cho tôi xem thực đơn, please!""Could you please bring me the menu?"



 

3. This - Cái này

When you don't know how to say the name of a dish, you can simply point to the item on the menu and say... Cái này



  • Example: "Cho tôi cái này! This one!"



 

4. Less Sugar - Ít đường

When ordering a drink and you want less sugar, you can say it like this:



  • Example:"Ít đường! Less sugar!"



 

5. No Sugar - Không đường
